Sharing is Caring
2 days ago my friend send me this article. This made me very happy, because that is exactly how I intend this website to work, sharing information and resources to make better choices. I few things that I picked up on while reading it:
Nothing is really “new” we know this stuff already.
The situation is dire, but not hopeless and there definitely is growing awareness and willingness to do something about it.
There is an emphasis in this article on the fact that change has to come on the national, political and corporate level by now ( I actually remember a long time ago I was thinking the same thing) which would -kind of- contradict my intentions here, that individuals can make a difference (together!)
Well, I understand quite well that me saving the water from my warm water bottle for plants is not going to save world from lack of water in some places. or that reusing all these cute little containers is not going to make a significant change in the scope of waste we produce. But we are consumers and we are voters. and that IS where our strength lies. There really is power in numbers and we really are stronger together. And finally one person can really make a change, or start a movement!
So thank you Petra, for sharing this with me and I hope to get more from people in the future. Sharing is Caring 🙂 and Happy thanks giving to my American friends.
