Nothing is ever just black and white, there are many more than 50 shades of gray

“Nobody but nobody can make it out there alone”

“Nobody but nobody can make it out there alone”

said the incomparable Maya Angelou. and, the same thing, from a different angle, “Anything I can do we can do better” is the name of this website I think one of the hardest things with this whole climate situation is that we feel so alone, and that just by ourselves there is not much we can do. As I said before I have started a course at the U of M about action one can take on a personal, communal…

“Drip Drip Drip…… OCEAN”

“Drip Drip Drip…… OCEAN”

This is a quote given to me by a friend from one of her friends….. this lady tried to express how small acts can make a difference. I am exited to share that I started a free course given by the university of Michigan about how you can make a difference on a personal, community and national/political level with regards to the environment. It is not so much discussing climate science, but more behavior science, different models of how to…

As I promised,

As I promised,

I am going to repeat a few things from now on, we all have SO MUCH on our mind right now but I do not want this site to disappear because of that. I would like to share some of the changes I have made. I just bought some toothpaste tablets, and shampoo bars. I also started to use laundry sheets in stead of liquid detergent. My tooth brushes are bamboo (and my dentist’ report card is very good). I…

The site is easy to read,…

For a long time I have been hoping to find alternatives for the plastic bags I continue to use. I no longer use the plastic bags in the grocery store, both for fruit and veggies as well as the bigger grocery bags. These were very easy adjustments that did not cost any effort at all. For garbage and doggy poop, I still am using plastic 🙁 Recently I saw true compostable bags from Trader Joe’s which made me very happy….

a new twist to a very old concept

a new twist to a very old concept

there are many videos like this on Youtube, but with our limited time and attention span I decided to share only one. But how uplifting is this idea. Reduce Reuse Recycle, the solution to our “house on fire” (c) Greta Thurnberg has to come from all levels, from the ground up and from the top down, from stopping to produce all this waste to finding a way to use all this waste. These videos/ideas/initiatives give me great hope and it…
